I’m a writer and editor living in Chicago. I’ve contributed to a bunch of magazines and blogs and worked on all kinds of marketing/communications projects. I worked as a freelancer for about four years and started the company Red Bird Editorial. To find out more, visit my website. And check out the official Red Bird blog here.
Today, I’m super excited to be working as the communications manager at Engaged Health Solutions. I also volunteer as the social media manager for Yoga Bear, a non-profit connecting cancer patients, survivors and caregivers with free yoga.
In addition to writing and editing, my favorite things include: doing yoga, playing card games (like canasta and hearts) and going out for dinner. I go out for dinner a lot.
Other Very Important Things About Me:
- I used to be known as Libby Ellis but got married to a guy named Erik Lowe. I thought it would be fun to have the initials LL—I was thinking Cool J, but today most people think of LL as Lindsay Lohan, which I think is less fun
- My last name rhymes with “plow,” not “toe.” I dated Erik for about two months before figuring that one out
- My dog’s name is Bucket and we’re close to the same size
- I love Elvis and went to Graceland for my 30th birthday
- I like magazines with one-word titles like Wired and Good
- I watch bad TV and blog about it sometimes here
